HomeHair Loss/ Breakage/ Split Ends My hair before the hurricane was so long and healthy. For about a 2 weeks after, my hair started coming out in clumps. My hair had thinned out drasticly. My hair dresser isn\'t in the state and I don\'t know what I can do to get it back to the way it was. I don\'t trust everybody in my head. I know I probably need to get it cut, the length is already to my ears. Please tell my what I can do.

I feel for you for a number of reasons. One because it is very difficult to deal with loosing hair. The other part of this is that it is even more difficult giving advise under this circumstance without seeing the persons hair. So again, this suggestion is purely off the cuff. It has been my experience that the water used when shampooing can cause damage to your hair; hard water especially. I suggest trying to use bottled water even though it may be expensive, Try shampooing your hair only once every 2 weeks. You should have the ends trimmed and all the split ends removed. When you do shampoo, use a Moisture Retention shampoo. I suggest Hairobics Moisture Retention Shampoo and Conditioner. Try not to apply too much heat. Good Luck
