If I have a semi perm or texturized hair will I still be able to start locking my hair, without cutting it. I really dont want to cut it

In order to start locs in your own hair, your hair must be totally
chemical free. The only chemical you can have in your hair when
starting locs is color. So, if it is locs you wish and you wish to
START them in your OWN hair, then you cannot have a perm, semi perm, or
texturizer. You can however start them with yarn braids which are basic
individual braids done with yarn. This way you do not have to cut your
hair, you have styling verstility, and you do not go through the
budding phase as bad.
